Gavyn Avery Drago is the heart, strength, and inspiration behind our organization.

Diagnosed with epilepsy at a young age, Gavyn never allowed epilepsy to define him or determine the limits of his life. He faced every challenge with courage, determination, and an extraordinary belief in himself. He pursued the things he loved with everything he had.

Running became one of those passions. Between the ages of 14 and 16, Gavyn completed five half marathons—and he set a new personal record in his last race. But what mattered most was not the time on the clock. It was the way he refused to let epilepsy stand between him and the life he wanted to live.

Gavyn showed us what is possible when a young person is given the opportunity, support, and hope to pursue their dreams. His courage continues to inspire us, and his legacy is the reason we are committed to advancing epilepsy research, better treatments, and meaningful support for young people living with epilepsy.
